Lemons Still Life Watercolor Painting

Lemons Still Life watercolor painting is 9 x 12 inches on Arches 140 pound paper.  Instead of the usual quotes about when life deals you lemons..... Sunset Watercolor Painting

Sunset watercolor paintin g (9 x 12) is from a beautiful photo reference my nephew in Florida took.   The painting almost ended up in the trash with me declaring defeat on this deceivingly 'simple' watercolor.  I washed the paper out and started almost from scratch.  Many years ago my first 'plein air' painting at a local bridge on a beautiful day in May, an elderly gentlemen slowly and with much effort  made his way down a hill to where I sat and then gave me some art advice.  He told me to take the painting, which he said was too dark, and 'give it a bath'.   I took his advice and was pleased to find that what remained looked beautiful.   Sometimes painting involves removing things....  :)   Sometimes there's not a better way. Sometimes there's only the hard way.” ― Mary E. Pearson , The Fox Inheritance    Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at bunnygr

Heal of the Hand Book Signing and Presentation

Heal of the Hand book signing, presentation and fundraiser/awareness for Haiti.  Five percent of the book sales will go to Partners in Health to help Haiti. This is a children's book about the earthquake in Haiti and the power of healing through story telling.   --> "On January 12, 2010 the 7.0 magnitude earthquake which struck Haiti completely devastating Port-au-Prince and the surrounding villages left 316,000 people dead.   Of those who survived at least 250,000 were seriously wounded.    Thousands of children were orphaned.   How does a country, a people, an individual, a child, come to grips with such incomprehensible loss and find a path to journey forward? --> One way the mind begins to grasp such tragedy and begins to heal is through the power of story.   One’s story is repeated over and over again until it journeys from the conscious memory to the subconscious layers of the mind to the depth of the soul, finding rest and the sile
