Just a Touch of Coral Rose Watercolor Painting

Just a Touch of Coral Rose watercolor painting is 7.25 X 6.75 inches on Arches 140 lb paper.     Confidence, once lost or betrayed,  can never be restored again to the same measure; and we learn too late in life that our acts of deception are irrevocable –  they may be forgiven,  but they cannot be forgotten by their victims. Just Daisies Watercolor Painting

Block Island, Corn Neck Road/Dunes Watercolor Painting

Block Island, Corn Neck Road/Dunes watercolor painting is 12 X 16 inches on Arches 140 lb paper.   I struggled on what to call this painting.....  you can't really see Corn Neck Road, just the cars and/or bike riders as they go,  which is just before the dunes in the distance, and of course the ocean is on the other side of the dunes (Crescent beach).  We have painted at this spot before another year - the owner of the home has a sea gull that sits on top of her house, which she named. I've forgotten his name and will have to look for the painting/post to see.  "Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor." – Truman Capote Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at bunnygriffeth@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Rocks and Valley, Block Island Watercolor Painting

Rocks and Valley, Block Island watercolor painting is 10 X 14 inches.  This is a spot off of Corn Neck Road, facing west and Montauk, Long Island and one of the many lakes/ponds on the island.    Not evident here, but there is a little sailboat heading into New Harbor on the ocean. Though inland far we be, Our souls have sight of that immortal sea Which brought us hither. ~William Wordsworth, Intimations of Immortality   Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at bunnygriffeth@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Summer Day on Block Island Watercolor Painting

Summer Day on Block Island watercolor painting reworked.  (see post )   I added some of the same grasses as the upper portion of the painting and defined the right hand part of the hill more to add some cohesiveness.    I have lots of work to post over the next week or so from our plein air painting on Block Island..... Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at bunnygriffeth@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Summer Day on Block Island Watercolor Painting

Summer Day on Block Island watercolor painting is 12 x 16 inches --- what I did yesterday, across from Crescent Beach on Block Island.....a gorgeous day!    A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing,  the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken.  ~James Dent Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at bunnygriffeth@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Flowers on a Fencepost Watercolor Painting

F;  Flowers on a Fencepost watercolor painting is 9 x 12 inches from a WDE (weekend drawing event) photo reference also.  I liked the dramatic shade/sun difference in this reference.   I'm leaving tomorrow for a week of plein air painting on Block Island and hopefully will be posting some work as I finish pieces there.   Also, illustrations for book number four are under way and coming together nicely so far and I plan on doing some of that this week as well, although that I can't post.  Also, lots of photos, of course, on those nice walks on the island....just gorgeous at this time of year. Iguana Watercolor Painting

Iguana watercolor painting is 7 x 10 inches and is part of the weekend drawing event referenced in my last post, a Wet Canvas weekend drawing event hosted by Li    .    Catching bugs is obviously a dangerous undertaking sometimes.    Today's devotional quite by accident really fits here..... " Today I'll use the slogan, 'How Important Is It?'.  It will help me think things through before I act and it will give me a better picture of just what is important in my life." Alateen---a day at a time....from "Courage to Change " Al-anon book Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at bunnygriffeth@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Green Sea Turtle Watercolor Painting

Green Sea Turtle watercolor painting is 9 x 12 inches on ARches 140 lb paper.  No this is not Charlotte, the rescued sea turtle of Mystic Aquarium , a/k/a "Bubble Butt".  This is from a Wet Canvas weekend drawing event hosted by Li     I was surprised to see an article in this Sunday's Providence Journal--a decade since 9/11 --  about the Ron Gill family that is the subject of the new children's book, "I'll Always Be There" , written by Jennifer Cowart and illustrated by myself.   There are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them.
