a severe yet master artist old Winter is....
No longer the canvas and
but the marble and the chisel.
~John Burroughs, "The
Bird watercolor painting (6 X 7 inches). I'm not sure what this bird's name is -- looking at the Audubon identification it seems like it is a 'alder flycatcher'. It was -9 degrees this morning here in Rhode Island and -32 with the wind chill and I don't know how these birds endure it, but they are very happy with the feeder near my window.
Cardinal original watercolor painting (7.75 x 7.75) is of a female
cardinal. I have a bird feeder by my window and I love watching the
birds as well as painting them. We currently have snow on the ground so
they really are loving that feeder.
