Cherry Blossom Branch Watercolor Painting

Cherry Blossom Branch watercolor painting is 9 x 12 inches on Arches 140 lb paper.    This is listed on Ebay for Japanese Sunami relief as are a number of other paintings I have listed there.  There is a special meaning of the cherry blossom in the Japanese culture of the transitory nature of our lives, and embodies the "mono no aware" which is translated according to Wikipedia as an "empathy toward things", which is especially poignant in view of the recent disaster.

"In the cherry blossom's shade
there's no such thing
as a stranger."

Kobayashi Issa

Please see the paintings purchasing information for some general information about pricing, or email me at and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
