White Flower Watercolor Painting

White Flower watercolor painting is 7 x 10 inches on Arches 140 pound paper. The illustrations for "Bubble Butt, Charlotte the Challenged Sea Turtle of Mystic Aquarium" are completed, the cover is done!! I'm very happy with them all and now just have to take them to be scanned to send to the publisher.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the people of Haiti as they struggle under this disaster .... This is an organization that I give to --- Food for the Poor. People get into heated discussions about religious sects and beliefs, and rules, but when Jesus told the parable of how the goats (those who go to hell) and the sheep (those who go to God) are separated, this was his criteria....I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink.... When they ask, disillusioned, when they did this...., his reply....when you did it to the least of my brothers, you did it to me.

Lions Watercolor Painting

Lions Watercolor Painting is 12 x16 inches on Arches 140 hot pressed paper. I usually use cold press, which has a little tooth in it, but I thought I would use the new water color sticks, which I started this with on this hot pressed paper which I bought by mistake. "There are no mistakes....only happy accidents." What could be more majestic than these animals, especially with the light reflecting on them?

"Don't weep. Look—the Lion from Tribe Judah, the Root of David's Tree, has conquered."
Revelation 5:5

Pink Water Lilies Watercolor Painting

Pink Water Lilies watercolor painting is 7 x 10 inches on Arches 140 pound paper.

Some inspiration from R.I. Sharpe and the poem "A Bag of Tools":

Isn't it strange
That princes and kings,
And clowns that caper
In sawdust rings,
And common people
Like you and me
Are builders for eternity?

Each is given a bag of tools,
A shapeless mass,
A book of rules;
And each must make---
Ere life is flown---
A stumbling block
Or a steppingstone.

Here's to building steppingstones.

Water Lily Watercolor Painting

Water Lily watercolor painting. This is a card and not for sale.... in memory of someone lost in the terrible tragedy in Haiti.

'...light beheld as through refracting tears,
Here is the aura of that world
Each of us has lost.
Here is the shadow of its joy."

by Robert Hayden, from "Monet's Waterlilies" My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti.

Peach Rose Watercolor Painting

Peach Rose Watercolor painting is 10 x 14 inches on Arches 140 pound paper. Because of the size of this it kind of has an abstract feel to it.

Thoughts and prayers for the people of Haiti and their families and friends.... and this Scripture:

'I tell you the truth,
whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine,
you did for me.' Matthew 25:40
