Three Pink Roses Watercolor Painting

Three Pink Roses watercolor painting is larger than life 12 x 16 inches on Arches 140 pound paper and from plein air painting at Blithewold Mansion and Gardens in Bristol. It was a perfect summer day for outdoor painting.

Some deep thoughts this morning on shame. Lots has been said about humility, but very little about healthy shame, without which there would be no humility. Healthy shame makes us realize that we are human after all. To be absolutely certain and right stops us from being curious, from wondering, which is the heart of all creativity and learning, whereas healthy shame moves us to learn new things, and is the source of our spirituality. (John Bradshaw, paraphrased from "Healing the Shame That Binds You")
