Peony watercolor painting is done on rice paper. The watercolor reacts in a different way to the paper.....it spreads beyond where you have touched the brush to the paper, how far depends on how much water you have mixed with the paint. The technique suits this flower, and actually works. Not everything you work with or on does work...lots of things in the circular file sometimes.
After watching the movie "The Visitor" today, my thought for today is on the sadness of loneliness--if or when you see the movie you'll understand--- and this quote from Eugene O'Neill:
